Donna Odierna and David Currie were joined by former Program Director of Mission Trip America, Lori Pino, to discuss their[ study](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC11095648/) “It's the most important work we will ever do”: Chiropractic students' service learning experiences at a day laborer center in California.” The 2023 paper, co-authored with Drs. Monica Smith and Farida Savai, was published in the Journal of Chiropractic Education. The roundtable discussion included ethical issues of research in socially disadvantaged populations, the essential role of practitioners as collaborators in the research process, the merits of qualitative research, and reflections by Dr. Currie about serving as a mentor doctor at LifeWest outreach clinics.
