Spring 4 Life Brings Community, Learning, & Competition to LW Bellevue

  • May 12, 2026

Last Thursday, the Life West Bellevue campus came together for an energizing and memorable Spring for Life celebration, bringing students, faculty, and staff together for a day of learning, connection, and some friendly competition.

The morning featured an engaging lineup of guest speakers who shared a wide range of perspectives within the chiropractic profession. Dr. Jace Peters kicked off the day with a discussion on Chiropractic for Athletes, highlighting the unique role chiropractors play in helping athletes optimize performance and recovery. Students also heard from Dr. Marcia Ziska, who introduced the principles and clinical applications of NUCCA, offering insight into upper cervical care. The morning concluded with Dr. Devin Vrana, who grounded the event in philosophy, encouraging students to regularly check in with themselves and reflect on their own growth throughout the chiropractic journey.

As the afternoon rolled in, Nebraska delivered a classic spring day — plenty of sunshine paired with just enough wind to remind everyone they were in the Midwest. The campus community gathered outdoors to enjoy lunch, where Dr. Jen and Esme served up hot dogs and hamburgers fresh off the grill, with picnic sides and popsicles providing the perfect frozen treat to cap off the meal.

The highlight of the afternoon was the much-anticipated cohort tug-of-war tournament, where students put teamwork and determination on display. After a series of competitive rounds, Quarter 10 emerged as the champions, with key support from Noah in Quarter 6 helping secure the victory and the title of Spring for Life Tug of War Champions.

With an impressive 94% student attendance, along with participation from faculty and staff, the event reflected the strong sense of community that continues to grow on the Bellevue campus. Spring for Life offered a chance to step away from the classroom, connect with one another, and celebrate the shared mission of chiropractic education.

Now that this year’s event is in the books, it’s never too early to start thinking ahead — planning ideas for next year’s Spring for Life are already encouraged.
