Mindfulness Program kicks off a new weekly offering

The Mindfulness Program would like to introduce a new weekly offering called WISE time, Weekly Intention Setting Effort. WISE time is a virtual forum for anyone interested in taking just 10 minutes a week to concentrate their energy and focus their intentions on sending love and light to those we know and those we do not know who are suffering and feeling alone.

This effort is aimed at reaching members of our community we cannot see during this time of social distancing and remote learning. Therefore, it is difficult to know who is in pain. The 10-minute silent meditative/reflective process itself would serve to transmute any negative energy or heaviness that we as participants may also be holding. A hopeful by-product would be a sense of connectedness and safety prompting those receiving the offering to reach out.

The first WISE time session will commence on Monday, Aug. 10, from 9:20-9:30 am, and will continue at that time every Monday thereafter (except holidays). Look for reminders in the Voice and on the Facebook LCCW Mindfulness Program page where you can join the forum on Zoom.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Academic Counselor, Lori Pino, at lpino@lifewest.edu. We look forward to generating a powerful collective force of healing intentions together.
