TASKFORCE UPDATE March 9, 2021

TASKFORCE UPDATE

Alameda County today issued a statement advising that the county is moving to Red status on March 10th. The statement can be seen here.

The college has previously operated at the Red level and all safety protocols are already in place to enable our re-integration to on-campus activities. All clubs can resume on-campus activity at a 25% capacity of the room or space they are in, and sports can resume training and outdoor activity under the protocols that applied when the county was previously in Red level. The cafe will resume indoor dining at 25% capacity. Self-study spaces are already in place, including in the Learning Commons, and will continue at 25% of the space capacity. Capacity limit signs are set at 25% and posted at the entrance to all rooms on campus. Employees should watch out for an email  this week from the Human Resources Office on re-integration of on-campus operations.

As we re-integrate, safety must remain one of our highest priorities.  This means wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, washing hands frequently and socially distancing.  It is important that all employees pre-screen, prior to leaving home. If you have not already completed our health screening protocol, you must complete the Health Screening Questionnaire and confirm you are clear before returning to campus. The screening form can be found here. If you have been in contact with anyone who is COVID-19 symptomatic, please stay home, get tested, isolate yourself and follow the usual protocol. If you are symptomatic, please do not come to campus, stay home. Students are to contact Professor David Straub at dstraub@lifewest.edu; staff/faculty, please contact Tarsha Addison at taddison@lifewest.edu. If you test positive, please let us know immediately and isolate yourself to protect others from infection. Isolation instructions can be viewed here

If you have any questions or feedback you would like to share, please email us at taskforce@lifewest.edu
