About 70 faculty and staff came to the active shooter response training conducted by the Hayward Police Department last week. They shared great information about the current best practices for dealing with one of these unfortunate events. We will hold a similar session for interested students in the near future.
In addition, we are upgrading our first aid kits and AED devices campuswide to include “trauma bleed” response kits for everyone’s safety.
