It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of our colleague and friend, Dr. Bruce Chester.
Dr. Chester, a proud Life West alumnus, devoted over 30 years to serving our college. He taught in the Health Center and Technique departments, led as Chair of Technique, Dean of Clinical Competency, and most recently as Director of the Technology Training Center. His passion for chiropractic education and care for students left an enduring impact.
For those who may not have known Dr. Chester, we invite you to watch this short video highlighting his contributions to sports chiropractic.
Beyond the classroom, Bruce helped launch the Life West Rugby program, served as team chiropractor for the Oakland A’s for more than five years, and loved golf and community. His energy, warmth, and competitive spirit touched us all.
Our love goes out to his wife, Mabelis, his daughter Karly, and family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We will share details about services or memorial gatherings as they become available. In the meantime, Student Life and HR are here if you need support as we grieve this loss together.
