At Life Chiropractic College West, service extends far beyond the classroom and clinic. On Wednesday, May 13, faculty and staff came together for a meaningful afternoon of community impact during our Community Service Day at the Alameda County Community Food Bank in Oakland.
Team members volunteered their time to help sort, package, and prepare food for distribution to individuals and families throughout the Bay Area. Working side by side, volunteers contributed to the Food Bank’s mission of providing access to nutritious food and supporting neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
The event offered more than just an opportunity to give back—it also created space for connection, collaboration, and reflection. Faculty and staff stepped away from their daily routines to engage with one another in a different setting, united by a shared commitment to service and community wellness.
Throughout the afternoon, volunteers assisted with hands-on tasks that directly support thousands of local households each week. Every box packed and every item sorted played a role in helping strengthen the surrounding community.
Community Service Day reflects Life West’s ongoing dedication to living our values through action. By partnering with organizations like the Alameda County Community Food Bank, we continue to support initiatives that promote health, compassion, and service beyond our campus walls.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success. We look forward to continuing these efforts and creating more opportunities for our campus community to connect through service in the future.
