Meet Ken Wenner, Senior Admissions Advisor
Hometown: Hayward, CA
Interests: He loves sports, TV, movies and is a self described source of random useless knowledge, LOL
Joined Life West: January 2022
Ken's Story: Ken has been getting adjusted at Life West since 2016 when his wife started bringing their new baby girl Jocelyn for care at the Health Center. While he was there, Jocelyn's intern would constantly tell Ken that he should be adjusted too. He kept putting it off until finally (with great persistence from his wife, Michelle) he relented to be seen.
By Ken's 3rd visit, his intern saw how Ken was limping. Ken told him that his right knee had been unstable for over 10 years and that it would sometimes act up. The intern quickly assessed and adjusted it, and since then, Ken's knee never caused a problem again. From that day forward, Ken became an advocate for chiropractic.
Before joining Life West, Ken worked in retail for over 15 years until the birth of his daughter, who was born with down syndrome and he took the opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad to care for his Jocelyn. While caring for her, he went back to school to earn his Masters in School Counseling, but unfortunately, as he graduated right before the 2020 Pandemic, many high school jobs were non-existent as many schools closed. However, his determined search led him into the college environment, where his path eventually crossed with the former Director of Admissions Dan Cardenas. Seeing Ken's value as a certified counselor, a trained salesperson, and a current patient at the Life West Health Center, Dan brought him in as an Admissions Advisor.
Since joining Life West, Ken's family has grown with the addition of his energetic son, Jaxon. Just as he cherishes his family at home, Ken has a deep love for the students of Life West and feels honored to be part of their journey!
