Fall Quarter Kicks Off with Energy & Engagement at Life West Nebraska

  • October 20, 2025

Welcoming new students to campus is always an exciting time—and this Fall Quarter has been no exception!

From lively activities to hands-on learning, the first two weeks have set a strong tone for another fantastic quarter at Life West Nebraska.

Week 1: Activities Fair & Guacamole Bar

The Week 1 Activities Fair was a huge success, showcasing both new and established student clubs. Students had the opportunity to learn about the upcoming Chiros for Christ Club, alongside returning favorites like the Pediatric Experience Club and the Motion Palpation Club.

A major highlight was the Guacamole Bar, hosted by Student Life and served up by faculty! Students enjoyed delicious snacks, connected with professors, and earned raffle entries for a chance to win a special prize—a donated adjusting table with a rich history.

This year’s raffle table carried special meaning—it was originally Dr. Jen’s first adjusting table, which served in her office for many years before being passed on to Dr. Vig, adjunct faculty. When Dr. Vig and his team decided it was time for the table’s next chapter, they generously donated it for this quarter’s raffle. The lucky winner, Quarter 8 student Nolan Wiese, took home the well-loved, fully equipped table—ready for many more years of service and adjustments ahead!

Week 2: Discovery Day, Learning, and Hands-On Practice

Week 2 brought a full schedule of activity and learning. We were thrilled to host Discovery Day, where prospective students immersed themselves in the Life West culture and experience. Guests explored our Bellevue campus, met current students and faculty, and got a firsthand look at what makes Life West Nebraska such a unique and supportive place to pursue chiropractic education.

The week also included some quick adjustments to our seminar lineup. When our originally planned guest speaker from Canada was unable to make the trip, Dr. Bill Lawler graciously stepped in early to present his seminar, keeping the schedule flowing smoothly and avoiding a duplicate speaker later this quarter. Students were fully engaged, showing great enthusiasm for learning and growth.

To cap off the week, the Student Council hosted a hands-on technique seminar featuring Dr. Joel Marley, where students from all quarters dove deep into Gonstead Technique. The event offered an invaluable opportunity to refine skills, collaborate with peers, and connect more deeply with faculty mentors.

Looking Ahead

With two energetic weeks behind us, the excitement continues to build as we look forward to Week 3, featuring a Presidential visit from Dr. Peter Kevorkian and Dr. Patty Giuliano. The fall quarter is off to a vibrant start, and the momentum on campus is undeniable—Life West Nebraska is thriving!
