Campus Policy Reminders

Welcome back!

As we start our summer quarter, please review and refresh your understanding of the following college policies:

Unauthorized Student Adjusting: Students are not permitted to adjust outside the Health Center, Health Center extension activity, or appropriate classroom setting. Therefore, adjusting at club meetings, seminars, and/or workshops, either on or off campus, is prohibited.

Parking: All members of the Life West community must have and display a current parking permit and must park in the designated spaces for students, faculty, staff, and interns in our parking lots. No person is permitted to reside in their vehicle on campus. Overnight parking of any recreational vehicle, camper, or camping trailer (even with a valid parking permit) is prohibited between the hours of 8:00 p.m. (or the end of classes) and 6:00 a.m. Please notify Mimi Swe in Student Life should you have any changes to your vehicle information.

Animals on Campus: Service animals are permitted on campus as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the California Disabled Persons Act. For more information, please contact the Disability Services Coordinator. Non-service animals may be permitted on campus on a restricted basis for certain College-sponsored events such as the Academic Success Center’s Therapy Dog Program, the animal chiropractic adjustment events, and the animal clubs. Non-service animals on campus for these events are restricted to the time and place of the event. Special permission must be obtained in advance from the Student Life Manager and/or the Academic Counselor.

Alcohol and Drugs: Alcohol is not permitted on campus or at events sponsored by the college or student organizations except for certain events under the Office of Institutional Advancement. Drugs are not permitted on campus (including the parking lot) or at any college events.

Please see the Policies and Disclosures page on the Life West website for more information about these and other policies.
