At Life West Nebraska, the Student Council is proud to recognize students who exemplify the values at the heart of our mission: Give, Do, Love, and Serve — from a sense of abundance. Each quarter, students nominate their peers who live these principles out loud in the classroom, on campus, and in their communities.

🌟 Give – Hope Hoff
Hope is always so willing to help us younger quarters. She gives some of the best advice for in and out of the classroom. She makes school feel like a family and makes sure everyone has everything they need to be successful. She is going to make an amazing doctor soon!
💪 Do – Jessie Soppe
Jessie truly embodies what it means to take action from a place of care and humility. Jessie listens with compassion, follows through thoughtfully, and works with the other student advocates to make sure students feel seen and supported. She never waits to be asked; she steps up, checks in, and makes sure no one slips through the cracks. Jessie doesn’t just do—she does with heart, and our community is stronger because of it.
💖 Love – Alma Roman
Alma deserves the Love award because she is so sweet and caring. She is the most caring person I know and will be kind to anyone without hesitation. She will help with anything you need and has the purest soul.
🤝 Serve – James Daro
JD has gone above and beyond in his role as Athletics Coordinator, stepping in with contagious enthusiasm and a clear heart for service. From securing Creighton game tickets at no cost to students to organizing a slow-pitch softball team that brings together cohorts, JD is always looking for ways to build community and create opportunities for connection. JD’s actions consistently reflect a spirit of gratitude, service, and unity that uplifts our campus.
We are so grateful to have each of these students as part of our Life West family. Thank you for setting the bar high and leading with abundance. 💙
