At Life West, our culture doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built intentionally through connection, collaboration, and shared experiences. One of the ways we bring that culture to life is through our Employee Activity Committee, and we’re excited to invite faculty and staff to be part of it.
The Employee Activity Committee is a faculty and staff–led group that serves as a bridge connecting departments, campuses, and colleagues. From appreciation events and wellness initiatives to community service days and campus celebrations, this committee helps create the moments that strengthen our sense of belonging across campus. Our work is grounded in our core values — give. do. love. serve. — and especially serve. We serve our campus by intentionally creating opportunities for engagement, collaboration, and connection among employees.
The committee meets approximately once a month (or every other month), with meetings typically lasting about one hour. Participation is flexible and can vary based on interest and availability. Whether you’re sharing ideas, helping with event setup or breakdown, assisting with facilitation, or contributing a personal skill like decorating, DJing, photography, or other creative talents, there’s space for you to engage in a way that feels meaningful.
If you’re a faculty or staff member looking for a way to build relationships across campus, share your creativity, and help strengthen our Life West community, we would love to welcome you. Together, we can continue fostering a workplace culture that reflects who we are, connected, engaged, and committed to serving one another.
