Coinciding with the college’s return to campus this quarter, the Softball Club has resumed play in the Hayward Summer League COED division.
As the longest-standing student club sport on campus, Life West Softball resumed activities after strong interest from several students who have not spent much time on campus due to the COVID pandemic.
Sports Council Rep for the Softball Club, Lauren Stefaniuk, has been instrumental in helping the club return to play. Recruitment at the recent Club Activities Fair saw an additional 22 students sign up to play. Club President Donald MacMullin, indicated that the club is looking to coordinate additional mens and co-ed teams. With more recruitment planned, the goal of developing the first women’s team is high on the agenda.
