Life West Nebraska was ready to *seas* the day with a pirate-themed booth, complete with skeletons, swashbuckling pirates, and plenty of Halloween spirit! Our crew even had its very own feathered first mate, **Dr. Green, who traded chiropractic care for a little "parrot-actic" fun!** - ![1000042899](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/1000042899.jpg?width=2047&height=1333&name=1000042899.jpg) Hover message - ![1000042892](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/1000042892.jpg?width=2047&height=1480&name=1000042892.jpg) Hover message - ![1000042890](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/1000042890.jpg?width=2047&height=1468&name=1000042890.jpg) Hover message - ![1000042904](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/1000042904.jpg?width=2047&height=1723&name=1000042904.jpg) Hover message - ![IMG\_0909](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0909.jpg?width=2048&height=1536&name=IMG_0909.jpg) Hover message - ![IMG\_0911](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0911.jpg?width=2048&height=1536&name=IMG_0911.jpg) Hover message - ![IMG\_0912](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0912.jpg?width=1536&height=2048&name=IMG_0912.jpg) - ![IMG\_0906](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0906.jpg?width=1350&height=1800&name=IMG_0906.jpg) - ![IMG\_0908](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0908.jpg?width=1646&height=2048&name=IMG_0908.jpg) Β  Our pirate crew had a *booty-ful* time handing out treats and spreading smiles to the little buccaneers who stopped by. No bones about it, our crew was a real treasure! **Costumes, Competition, and a Little Hocus Pocus! πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ** The Halloween spirit continued Friday during our weekly campus Seminar, where students and faculty showed up dressed to *kill* (figuratively, of course!). Students from every cohort pulled out all the stops, bringing creativity, humor, and plenty of spooky spirit to campus. From clever costumes to group ensembles, the competition was *scary good!* To add a little friendly competition, Life West hosted **live costume contest voting** during Seminar, with attendees casting their ballots in four categories: - πŸŽƒ Best Student Costume - Todd Grodin (President Trump) - πŸ‘» Best Faculty Costume - Dr. Vanessa Green (More Cowbell) - πŸ¦‡ Best Group Costume - Kansas City Chiefs - πŸ’€ Best Cohort Engagement - Quarter 1 - Box of Crayons 100% Participation Rate While individual costumes certainly stole the spotlight, the Best Cohort Engagement category encouraged students to rally their classmates and show off their collective Halloween spirit. Talk about some serious *cohort-ination!* - ![Best Cohort Engagement](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_5999%20(1).jpeg?width=4284&height=5712&name=IMG_5999%20(1).jpeg) Best Cohort Engagement - ![Best Student Costume](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-30%20143229.png?width=438&height=632&name=Screenshot%202026-10-30%20143229.png) Best Student Costume - ![Best Group Costume](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-30%20143243.png?width=497&height=623&name=Screenshot%202026-10-30%20143243.png) Best Group Costume - ![Best Faculty Costume](https://voice.lifewest.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-30%20143236.png?width=462&height=630&name=Screenshot%202026-10-30%20143236.png) Best Faculty Costume Β  **A Fang-tastic Campus Community!** Beyond the costumes and candy, this week's festivities were another reminder that Life West Nebraska knows how to balance hard work with a little fun. Whether we were sharing treats with our Bellevue University neighbors or sharing laughs with classmates during Seminar, the week was filled with connection, creativity, and campus pride. A huge *fang you very much* to everyone who participated, dressed up, helped decorate, or simply joined in the fun. **From our crew to yours, have a safe and happy Halloween!
